Who they are

A school that opened to fix something specific.

The Genius School is a state-accredited private school that opened in Indianapolis in August 2024. It was built to take on the learning children lost during the pandemic years — small classes, an individual plan for every student, and a curriculum that moves faster than the grade level suggests.

It runs from Pre-K through 6th grade out of a building on Lafayette Road, it is faith-centered, and its motto is #UnleashYourGenius.

What they teach

Anatomy, physics and martial arts, before middle school.

AP Sciences

Anatomy and physiology, chemistry and physics, and political science — college-level subjects taught at a grade-appropriate level, years before students would normally meet them.

Accelerated Early Elementary

An enriched foundation built on critical thinking, creativity and social-emotional growth, with class sizes small enough that no child is carried along unnoticed.

Martial Arts

A daily discipline rather than an after-school club. The school teaches it for focus, resilience, respect and responsibility.

Faith in Action

Faith is integrated across the curriculum rather than taught as a separate subject, with an emphasis on service, empathy and integrity.

Where the money goes

$9,327
Tuition, grades K–8
Pre-K is $8,750. In the school’s own words, nearly all of its families do not pay full tuition.

Almost nobody pays the sticker price.

The gap between what The Genius School charges and what its families actually pay is covered three ways: Indiana Choice Scholarships, scholarships funded through the Institute for Quality Education, and donors.

MELI is now one of the donors. Every order placed online this quarter moves that number a little further from the families who would otherwise have to close it themselves.

Give to the school yourself

MELI’s 3% is separate from anything you give directly. Gifts made through the Institute for Quality Education carry a 50% Indiana state tax credit — something MELI’s donation cannot pass on to you.
