MELI x THE CITY LEAGUE
The City League, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, has been a pillar of the Indianapolis basketball community since 2013, using high-level basketball as a platform to foster community engagement across Central Indiana. Through leagues, clinics, and various community activities, TCL brings together local businesses and neighbors, empowering the people of Indiana’s capital city. More than just a celebration of the game, The City League tells the stories of the players, the places, and the culture that have made basketball an integral part of the Hoosier State’s social fabric.
In August 2024, this partnership reached new heights with the production of ‘Court Couture’ during the Indiana State Fair—a historical evening where street fashion met the electrifying world of basketball at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. This remarkable event, set on a newly sponsored court by Pacers Sports and Entertainment, showcased a mesmerizing blend of fashion, art, music, and entertainment. Attendees were treated to an immersive runway experience featuring innovative designs, thrilling dance performances, dynamic live entertainment by the Indy Dunkers and HoopBus, and live visual art installations.
‘Court Couture’ was not just an event—it was a celebration of creativity, culture, and community. With hundreds of thousands of attendees expected at the Indiana State Fair, the event offered unparalleled visibility and engagement for both participants and sponsors. For MELI, it was a perfect stage to highlight our sophisticated streetwear, designed for the everyday athlete where the court becomes your office, and the tunnel transforms into your runway.
